Culture for Cities and Regions in Angers: prioritize local needs, enhance creative assets, reinforce attractiveness
Angers has been rated number one city for its quality of life amongst other large French cities (L'Express, 2015). Angers benefits from a range of natural and cultural assets, together with high profile infrastructures and initiatives in various areas of the cultural and creative industries. But so far the city misses a vision, and a methodology process, to further promote and develop its CCIs.
Angers has started to set up a strategy, with a focus on three main aspects where the city has strong assets: music, cinema, and plants. The coaching team helped the city overlook what has been done so far and what’s next to be done to achieve Angers' objectives and make CCIs a driving force in Angers' cultural and economical urban development.
