There are only a few days left until the KSF Spring meeting hosted by the city of Ghent, 'Transparency in a city of people’.
Next Monday, 16 April 2018, members of the EUROCITIES Knowledge Society Forum will meet once again for a three-day meeting. The city of Ghent is already looking forward to hosting these urban experts, and discussing successes and challenges of digitisation and implementation of smart city solutions in their cities.
For Tuesday afternoon, organisers have prepared an exciting open-to-public conference. Inspirational speakers, such as prof. Albert Meijer, Gerrie Smith and Aral Balkan will share their stimulating ideas about the challenges of democracy in a digital age. Participants will hear about fresh research findings related to e-participation, blockchain use, and citizens control over their data. The following panel discussion with local politicians, moderated by prof. Erik Mannes, will reflect on inclusive democracy issues. In his concluding remarks, Dr. Etienne Auge will bring the audience to the future.
If you cannot join this conference in person, you could still follow the Livestream on this link: https://channel.royalcast.com/stadgent/#!/upcoming.
The last day of the members’ meeting will focus on sharing ideas on the future of KSF and EUROCITIES.
We are looking forward to meeting many of you in Ghent next week!
